Your Classes at CES

Welcome to the CES Toronto summer program! We want you to have a great time and learn how to speak English, and find out more about Canadian culture. In your lessons, you will meet new students from around the world, getting to know them while practicing English. Lessons are student-centered and you will have fun learning new things. Our teachers are dynamic, creative and friendly and look forward to planning classes with your interests and needs in mind. At the end of your program, you will be more confident speaking English and you will have lots of memories to share with your friends and family.

Lesson 1: 9:00-10:30

In your first lesson you will learn how to use English for life. Lessons will have a theme and an objective and will focus on communication skills. In these lessons, you will practise a range of skills including speaking and pronunciation, language and vocabulary, listening, and reading and writing.

Lesson 2: 10:45-12:15

In your second lesson you will focus on the wider world! You will learn study skills for your future, and you will learn global skills. Global skills are designed to help you use English to communicate with new people around the world. In both classes you will learn to work in groups and help each other to understand about the different countries and cultures you come from and what makes them special.

Project Classes

You will also have project lessons! These project lessons are fun and mean you can be creative. Each week there will be a new project, and you will work in groups to learn and research about the topic. On Friday in the second lesson, you will present your information and watch your classmates as well!

Where is my Class? After your welcome and orientation, you will receive your class information including level and room details as well as materials.
